WORKSHOP

Arrow & Functional Kotlin Open Space

Kotlin, Arrow
Max. attendees: 40
Thursday 3rd - 14:30 to 16:50

This Open Space is a collaborative hub for learning and practicing functional programming ideas in the context of Kotlin. The main maintainers of Arrow are going to be present throughout the entire duration of the workshop.

We plan to offer three different kinds of activities:

  • Different projects to learn and practice functional idioms, across different levels and technologies, both front-end and back-end;
  • Setting up the environment to contribute to Arrow, or any other open source project in the Kotlin ecosystem;
  • An unconference with short talks about interesting aspects of functional programming. Coroutines? Monads? Everything has its place!

Requirements

Basic knowledge of Kotlin and your own laptop with your favourite IDE.
